Mainstream Construction Group Names New Chief Estimator

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLA., April 27, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc., a
specialist in small box retail, restaurant and commercial construction, is pleased to
announce George F. Aragon has been named chief estimator. Aragon joins Mainstream
after relocating to Central Florida from White Hall, Md. He brings twenty years of
experience in all aspects of the commercial construction industry to his new duties. He
has associate degrees in business and computer science from Excelsior College in
Albany, N.Y.

 

Mainstream Construction Group Completes Crispers Prototype

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, May 11, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc. has
completed the renovation of a Crispers Fresh Salads and Such in Lakeland, Fla. The
project transformed an existing Crispers restaurant into an updated and upgraded new
prototype facility. The $850,000 contract for general contracting and design/build
services included a complete interior remodel of a 5,700-square-foot historic, 100-yearold
building on N. Kentucky Avenue. The project scope encompassed new framing, 300
yards of fill and interior slab, a new parking lot, upgrading electrical services and
equipment demolition. The fast-tracked project was completed in two months.

 

Mainstream Construction Group Completes Two Dollar General Stores

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Forida, May 25, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc. recently
completed construction of two Dollar General neighborhood stores for RT Retail of Lexington,
S.C. Located in Calhoun Falls and Quinby, S.C., each of the 9,100-square-foot stores was
completed on a one month construction schedule by the Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based
construction services company. The total combined construction value of the new stores is
$620,000
Robert Beattie, Oviedo, Florida, was the architect for the Calhoun Falls store and Rob Walker
Architects, Birmingham, Ala., was the architect for the Quinby facility.
In the past 15 months, Mainstream has completed $8 million in new Dollar General stores
located in 21 communities throughout the southeast.

 

Mainstream Construction Group Appoints New Controller/Business Manager

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, May 25, 2007 – Angela D. Wilson has been appointed
controller/business manager at Mainstream Construction Group, Inc., a specialist in small
box retail, restaurant and commercial construction. Wilson brings more than eight years
of experience in the construction industry to her responsibilities for managing the
Company’s administrative support team. She has an associate degree in business from
Brevard Community College, Cocoa, Fla., and is a Certified Construction Industry
Technician.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, June 14, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc. has
completed construction of a $525,000 Dollar General store in Bowling Green, Fla. Mainstream, a
specialist in the construction of corporate prototypical designs, built the 9,100-square-foot
neighborhood store in 43 days from notice to proceed through substantial completion. The
project’s developer is The Buchalter Company of Birmingham, Ala. Robert Walker of
Birmingham, Ala., was the project architect.

completed construction of a new $726,000 Dollar General neighborhood store in Mascotte,
Fla., for the developer, Florida Retail Development of Maitland, Fla. According to John
O’Donnell, Mainstream’s president, the 9,100-square-foot variety discount store was
completed in 59 days from notice to proceed through substantial completion. Robert Beattie
of Oviedo, Fla., was the architect of record for the site adaptation of the prototypical design.

developer RT Retail Development Services, LLC of Lexington, S.C. With a combined total
construction value of $950,000, Mainstream built the three, 9,100-square-foot corporate
prototypes in the communities of Eatonton, Ga., Waterloo, S.C., and Seneca, S.C.

Mainstream Construction Secures Second Contract to Build ALCO Store

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, October 16, 2007 – Altamonte Springs-based retail and restaurant construction specialists, Mainstream Construction Group, Inc., has secured its second contract to build an ALCO store with developer Fred Hand Properties of Atlanta, Ga. Mainstream’s new $1.8 million contract calls for the construction of a nearly 25,400-square-foot location in Nashville, Ga., for the.
The architect of record is the design practice of Ellis Myers Architect of Atlanta, Ga.
Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc. is a general retail merchandiser serving rural areas with more than 250 stores operating under two brand names – Duckwall and ALCO. Currently, the retailer is expanding into southern states, a departure from its base in the Central United States.

 

Governor Crist Appoints Central Floridian to Higher Education Facilities Financing Authority

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, November 12, 2007 – Central Floridian, David W. Rieck, chief financial officer of Altamonte Springs-based, Mainstream Construction Group, Inc. was appointed on Friday, November 9, 2007 by Florida Governor Charlie Crist to the Higher Education Facilities Financing Authority. Rieck was appointed to a five-year term beginning November 8, 2007, and ending January 17, 2012.
Having joined Mainstream Construction Group in 2005, Rieck’s financial and management experience includes director of financial planning and analysis at Fallon Community Health Plan; director of clinical operations at Boston University, School of Dental Medicine; chief financial officer at statewide, non-profit, Connecticut Community Care; and as an adjunct instructor at Framingham State College, Framingham, Mass. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Hartford, Hartford, Conn., and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Mich.

 

Developer Awards Contract to Mainstream Construction Group

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, November 27, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc. announced a $750,000 contract with commercial developer, The Buchalter Company of Birmingham, Ala., for general contracting services to build a new Dollar General store in Minneola, Fla. The new 9,100-square-foot, one-story design is being constructed using a Nucor metal building system prototype created by Mainstream for this store brand. The project has a 57-day construction schedule from the time the permit is issued.

Mainstream Construction Adds New Restaurant Brand Name to Its Roster

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida, December 18, 2007 – Mainstream Construction Group, Inc., retail and restaurant construction specialists, announced today its first contract to build a Santa Fe Cattle Co. steakhouse. The $1.25 million contract calls for the construction of a 6,000-square-foot, 172-seat restaurant in Troy, Ala. The owner is Santa Fe Holding Co., Inc. The Innovations Group, LLC, Franklin, Tenn., provided architectural design. The project is due for completion in the first quarter of 2008.
Founded in 1996, Santa Fe Cattle Co. (OLT:SFHD) is a restaurant chain of steakhouses featuring Texas-style steaks, ribs and fajitas. The Company is headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn.
